"Rebecca is a Provisionally Licensed Counselor. She often says she is a life-long learner, and finds herself constantly looking to learn something new. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Psychology at a Western Carolina University, a small school in the mountains of North Carolina before moving to Southern Missouri to complete her Masters of Science in Counseling at Missouri State University. Rebecca’s family fostered children throughout her adolescent years. Her experience living with children who had experienced extensive trauma in various ways, ignited her passion for mental health and ultimately led her down the path of counseling. She knew from a young age that somehow she would help people find healing and resiliency. Rebecca has had experience counseling in schools and a community mental health setting working with clients and students experiencing: grief, depression, anxiety, and trauma. Rebecca focuses on a person-centered, individualized approach, believing that despite experience, symptoms, or diagnosis, every person experiences life differently. Rebecca considers it a great privilege to walk with clients through the seasons of life, and she’s eager to extend a safe space for anyone who she encounters.
Rebecca moved to Kansas City in 2021. She has grown to love the city because of the people she has met and the welcoming and fun culture! She’s excited to plant her roots here."
